Bag containing illegal weapons found in UP

An inquiry was ordered after a bag containing illegal weapons and explosives was recovered from within the premises of Police Lines area here, a senior officer said today.
The bag containing country-made weapons and cartridges was found in the bushes within the Police Lines area here yesterday.
Following this, a probe by Additional Superintendent of Police was ordered, said DIG Lucknow R K Chaturvedi after visiting the spot.
He said that directives have also been issued to conduct verification of the residents of Police Lines area.
"This has been directed to ensure that no outsider is living in the houses meant for policemen and their families, also that there was no free passage for the outsiders within the area," the DIG said.

The bag was reportedly discovered after a explosive within the bag burst, though police officials refused to verify the claim.
