Bajaj Allianz Life on Monday said it has simplified the claim process for customers affected by riots in North East Delhi, and minimum documentation will be required so that claims are settled speedily.
The company will take up the death and disability claims of/for its customers from this area on priority and has set up a special help desk at its local branch to expedite claims settlement, Bajaj Allianz Life said in a release.
To simplify the claims registration process, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has listed bare minimum documents that nominees, legal heirs or policyholders require to process their claims.
Wherever death certificate issued by Registrar of Births & Deaths is not available, the company will accept the certified list having name of life assured issued by either government hospitals or police or government authorities of New Delhi or armed forces involved in rescue operations, Bajaj Allianz Life said.
The other documents required are KYC (know your customer) of nominee/legal heir (ID proof and address proof) along with bank details for enabling NEFT and photograph of the deceased/missing life assured.
The communal riots in the area have claimed over 50 lives and many are reported missing since the violence in the area in late February.
