Balasubramaniyam is new Kerala DGP
Balasubramaniyam, who is now Transport Commissioner, would replace Jacob Punoose who retires later this month, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters at a cabinet briefing.
The government has appointed K G Premashanker as the Police Reforms Commissioner, he added.
