Bangla folk band brings out children's lullabies from closet

Reinventing for the first time the hundreds year old children's lullabies for the present age audience, bombarded with the contemporary rock and band genres,a Bangla folk band now wants to carry forward the work by building up a rich storehouse of all such lyrics dating back to ages and familiar to generations.
Singing the of 'Ek ekke ek.....', 'Aai ajagar aschhe tere' and even the folksy 'Palki Chale Re...' before a captive audience.
Band members of Mohul said, "We have managed to unearth only some parts. Which are still popular among older generations. We wish to bring out more, which will give us a glimpse of the our heritage and make the present generations a little bit respectful towards their heritage."

Oganised by Orion Entertainments, Mohul members were speaking on the sidelines of an event Aparajita (Unvanquisshed) a movement involving singers, to protest against frequent abuse and brutalisation of women in recent times.
Purnendu Roy of Orion said, "The evening was a collage of song, recitation and drama to air protest against the recent incidents in different areas. We must speak out. From poet Krishna Basu, young elocutionist Bristi, a popular band like Mohul, everybody has come together to show Kolkata's heart still beats for its sisters, daughters.
