'Barfi!' leads at IIFA with 13 nominations

Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Barfi!' is leading at the 14th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards with an impressive 13 nominations while Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are pitted against each other in the best actor category.
The film, a poignant love story between a deaf and mute boy and an autistic girl, is pitted against 'English Vinglish', 'Gangs of Wasseypur-1', 'Kahaani', 'Paan Singh Tomar', 'Talaash' and 'Vicky Donor'
The Ayushman Khurana-Yami Gautam starrer comedy, based on the unusual subject of sperm donation, has garnered 9 nominations.
Ranbir will be competing with Hrithik 'Agneepath', Shah Rukh 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', Manoj Bajpayee 'Gangs of Wasseypur-1', Irrfan Khan 'Paan Singh Tomar' and Ayushmaan in the performance in a leading role category.

The best actress IIFA category is equally competitive with Sridevi 'English Vinglish', Vidya Balan 'Kahaani', Kareena Kapoor 'Heroine', Priyanka 'Barfi!', Deepika Padukone 'Cocktail' and Huma Qureshi 'Gangs of Wasseypur' battling it out.
Best director list has Anurag Basu 'Barfi!', Anurag Kashyap 'Gangs of Wasseypur-1', Sujoy Ghosh 'Kahaani', Tigmanshu Dhulia 'Paan Singh Tomar' and Sircar 'Vicky Donor' vie for the best director category.

While Ranbir is nominated in the best actor category, his father, actor Rishi Kapoor, has earned a nod in the best negative role category for his villaneous turn in 'Agneepath'.
The senior Kapoor is competing with co-star Sanjay Dutt, Tigmanshu Dhulia 'Gangs of Wasseypur-1', Saswata Chatterjeea aka Bob Biswas of 'Kahaani' and Bipasha Basu in 'Raaz 3'.

The best comedy actor list is led by Abhishek Bachchan for 'Bol Bachchan', Boman Irani 'Cocktail', Chunky Pandey 'Housefull 2', Paresh Rawal 'OMG-Oh My God' and Annu Kapoor for 'Vicky Donor'.
