Base metals drop on low demand

Base metals including select copper, brass, tin and nickel dropped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amidst lower demand from industrial users.
While copper cable scrap and zinc rebounded owing to renewed demand from consuming industries.
Tin prices fell by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,440 from Thursday's close at Rs 1,450.
Nickel and copper billets moved down by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 890 and Rs 473 as against yesterday's close at Rs 895 and Rs 478, respectively.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils and copper sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 440, Rs 430, Rs 407 and Rs 427 as compared Rs 442, Rs 432, Rs 409 and Rs 429, respectively.
Brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 333 and Rs 346.
However, copper cable scrap regained by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 455 from Rs 450 and zinc edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 247 as against Rs 245.
