On the global front, the industrial metal copper was flat in early trade as a week-long holiday in China blunted interest, while comments by the chief of commodities giant Glencore flagging looming supply cuts failed to spur buying.
Tin and nickel declined by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,165 and Rs 820 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,170 and Rs 825.
Copper scrap heavy and brass sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 405 and Rs 307 as compared to Rs 407 and Rs 309 yesterday.
