The industrial metal traded bearish at the LME on investors selling, though economic recovery in China as well as hopes for Greek deal limited the losses.
Nickel advanced by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,070 from last Saturday's close of Rs 1,065 and copper sheet cutting climbed by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 465 from Rs 461.
Copper armature, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting rose by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 469, Rs 319 and Rs 328 from Rs 466, Rs 316 and Rs 325 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, zinc and lead all inched up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 487, Rs 477, Rs 443, Rs 515, Rs 140 and Rs 125, respectively.
