Industrial metals edged lower at the LME, falling for three out of four sessions and trading close to five-week low on positioning ahead of a Federal Reserve policy meeting at which it is widely expected to begin withdrawing stimulus.
Tin shot-up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,570 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,560.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and aluminium utensils scrap climbed by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 506, Rs 534, Rs 481 and Rs 125 from Rs 503, Rs 531, Rs 478 and Rs 122 respectively.
Brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and aluminium ingots inched-up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 344, Rs 354 and Rs 150.
However, lead fell by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 131 from Rs 133.
