"BBMB generated 9679 Million Units during the period from April to December 21 as against full year target of 9,665 Million Units," said an official release.
BBMB has surpassed the energy generation target set by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) for the full year 2013-14 in about first nine months itself, it said.
It further said two 108 MW units at Bhakra Left Bank Power House have been upgraded to 126 MW each.
This feat was facilitated by ensuring high machine availability of 95.08 per cent as well as optimal water reservoir operations leading to effective utilisation of inflows, it added.
