The Marketing Committee of BCCI is to meet in Delhi on July 30 to open the tender documents received by the Cricket Board for title sponsorship relating to its international and domestic home series/tournaments for the next four seasons.
"The Marketing Committee is to meet in Delhi on the 30th," informed BCCI sources today.
The period for which Invitation To Tender had been sought for by the BCCI includes the 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
The rights on offer include sponsor branding of the relevant series with the title sponsor logo, official designation as the 'Title Sponsor' of the relevant international or domestic series, visibility at the stadium during both international and domestic matches, broadcast sponsorship rights, and a host of other rights, the Board had said in a media release earlier.
The 29-member Marketing Committee is headed by Chetan Desai, with BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur as its convener.
Micromax had bagged the title sponsorship in the 2014-15 season at Rs 2.02 crore per match, marginally more than the Rs 2 crore per game bid for successfully by Star India for the 2013-14 season.
India are to host South Africa in the coming (2015-16) season in a series of four Tests, five ODIs and three T20 Internationals between October 2 and December 7 before hosting Sri Lanka in February in a series of 5 ODIs and 3 T20s.
As per the remaining Future Tours Programme drawn up, there would be tours to India by Bangladesh (1 Test), New Zealand (3 Tests, 5 ODIs), England (5 Tests) and Australia (4 Tests) in 2016-17, followed by India's home engagements against Australia (5 ODIs, 1 T20), Pakistan (3 Tests, 5 ODIs, 2 T20s), Sri Lanka (3 Tests, 5 ODIs, 1 T20) in 2017-18 season.
The period concludes with visits to India by West Indies (3 Tests, 5 ODIs, 1 T20), Australia (5 ODIs, 2 T20s) and Zimbabwe (1 Test, 3 ODIs) in 2018-19.
