BDO suspended for dereliction of duty

A Block Development Officer (BDO) was suspended for remaining absent from duty during crises triggered by Pakistan shelling.
"District Development Commissioner placed Block Development Officer, Hiranagar in Kathua district under suspension for dereliction of duty and unauthorised absence," an official spokesman said.
District administration, Kathua, has established 16 relief camps where more than 6,000 migrants from 43 border villages have been shifted in view of heavy shelling by Pakistani troops.
