Singh said farmers toil hard in the field and it was the responsibility of everyone to back them in times of trouble.
He refuted SP government's claim that the Centre did not give adequate compensation to Uttar Pradesh in the aftermath of
unexpected heavy rains and hail storm that caused massive damage to crops.
The Centre provided Rs 2,086 crore to UP and it was the responsibility of the state to make proper use of it, he added.
