"Argo" star Ben Affleck is following the likes of Hugh Jackman and Tom Hiddleston by living off just USD 1.50 per day.
The 40-year-old announced he will live on just USD 1.50 a day as part of the Global Poverty Project's Live Below The Line campaign.
The actor-director, who is a long-time charity campaigner, took to Twitter to show his support, reported Aceshowbiz.
"1.4 billion people live on less than USD 1.50/day. I'm joining Live #BelowTheLine on behalf of @easterncongo. Will you?," he tweeted.
The challenge is meant to "give a glimpse into the lives of 1.4 billion people who have no choice but to live below the line every day - and who have to make USD 1.50 cover a lot more than food," the organisation's website read.
Jonah Hill, Katie Couric and Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun also tweeted their support for the case, while musician Josh Groban has raised USD 4,700 so far after commitment to spending just USD 1.50 per day on food and drink.
"Thor: The Dark World" actor Tom Hiddleston posted a video of himself on his fifth day of the challenge. The clip shows Hiddleston in his kitchen with a simple baked potato for lunch.
He also tweeted his meals throughout the challenge, which included boiled rice with vegetables, and an omelette with kidney beans.
