"Circular has been issued to all states and an announcement will be made in the next 15 days to begin the selection of 100 beneficiaries," Union Minister of State K H Muniyappa said here.
The scheme covering all the districts would create about 6,500 entrepreneurs, he said.
After selection, the beneficiaries would be trained in their choice of trade to develop entrepreneurial skills in the credit guaranteed subsidy programme under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ministry.
The beneficiaries would be selected at district-level by deputy commissioners, district collectors, bank officials and some organisations, he said, adding that UPA aims at generating five-lakh jobs every year.
