Bengal beat Maharashtra in Santosh Trophy

Bengal pipped Maharashtra 2-1 in a group match of the National Football Championships for the Santosh Trophy here today.
At half time, the scoreline was 1-0 in favour of Bengal after Raja Dass scored in the 35th minute.
The match in the first half saw four yellow cards shown to two players of each team.
Shabaz Pathan of Maharashtra restored parity in the 49th minute of the match. However, Raja Dass score the winning goal for Bengal in the dying minutes of the game.
