The state unit of the party has placed a draft resolution at the committee meeting, detailing its proposals. It will be taken up for discussion in the upcoming state conference of the party in March, the leader said.
"Since we lost power in 2011, our party on various occasions has raised concerns over the leadership of old and inactive members. So we have proposed a relaxation in the age bar" another senior CPI(M) state committee member said on the condition of anonymity.
