"I am happy to share with all of you that today the state government has decided to establish West Bengal Cyber Security Centre of Excellence (WBCS-CoE) to deal with increasing cyber-offences in the state," Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Facebook.
She said it will be an apex body for dealing with all cyber security-related issues including creating awareness among common people on threats associated with it.
"We have also decided to introduce courses on 'Data Science' and 'Cyber-Security' in different colleges in the state, to increase employability of students in this emerging area," she said.
