According to information got through RTI by local journalist Janki Sharan Dwivedi, Verma had laid the foundation of Steel Authority of India's (SAIL) colour coated steel processing unit in Paraspur in June last year and Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited's (RINL) steel processing unit in Koili forest in September last.
Last month, he laid the foundation of NMDC power limited and IDCL's 500 MW power project in Turkadeeha and this month for a branch of Amity University in Soni Harlal village.
According to RTI information, Rs 16 lakh was spent on newspaper advertisements and Rs six lakh for organising the foundation laying function in the programme at Parsapur.
Almost similar amount of money was spent on other three programmes by the local MP.
