Shares of Berger Paints India gained over 3 per cent on Tuesday after the company reported a 31.76 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the June quarter.
The scrip rose 3.43 per cent to close at Rs 345.10 on the BSE. Intra-day, the stock jumped 5.36 per cent to touch its 52-week high at Rs 351.55.
On the NSE, shares gained 3.24 per cent to close at Rs 345.10.
In terms of volume, 2.99 lakh shares were traded on the BSE and over 63 lakh on the NSE.
Berger Paints on Monday reported a 31.76 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 176.41 crore for the June quarter.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 133.88 crore in the year-ago quarter, Berger Paints said in a BSE filing.
Its revenue from operations during the quarter rose 15.93 per cent to Rs 1,738.41 crore from Rs 1,499.44 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
