"Such an anti-national event at the JNU campuswherein anti-India slogans were raised against the judicial hanging of a terror convict Afzal Guru and demanding freedom of Kashmir, can never be tolerated in our country. Prompt action must be taken against the students involved," he said.
There was uproar afterthe student organisers of the event at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi pasted posters across the campus for a protest march against "judicial killing of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Butt" and in solidarity with the "struggle of Kashmiri people for their democratic right to self determination" at varsity's Sabarmati dhaba on Tuesday.
