Pop sensation Justin Bieber seems to be intent on self-improvement as he was spotted carrying around a classic essay on personal development.
While enjoying lunch with Kris Jenner's boyfriend Corey Gamble in Los Angeles, the 20-year-old singer was reading celebrated literary essayist James Allen's 'As A Man Thinketh' published in 1902, reported TMZ online.
The title of the essay comes from the Book of Proverbs, chapter 23, verse 7, and centres on attempting to improve the individual.
As A Man Thinketh is a classic of the responsibility assumption, which presumes that each person is wholly and totally responsible for everything that happens to them. Whether good or bad, Allen argues, all things that transpire are a byproduct of the individual's character - an early precursor for the philosophy that one's thoughts create reality.
