As the countdown to the start of trading began and the moment the electronic clock struck 'zero', the 71-year-old legendary actor rang the bell.
Bachchan, who essays the role of a real estate giant Yudhisthir Sikarwar, owner of Shanti Constructions Pvt Ltd, even listed the fictional company on BSE as a promotional move for the day.
"I am honoured to be here. I see it (BSE) everyday on television through media. I think Stock Exchange reflects what is happening in the society. It seems the country is going ahead as the Bombay Stock Exchange shows that," Bachchan told reporters here.
Big B also revealed the poster of 'Yudh'. The show traces his journey, his struggle with his collapsing health, his battle with business rivals and his complicated family equations.
'Yudh' is most likely to go on air on Sony from July.
