Bihar AAP leader Parveen Amanullah arrested for code violation

AAP leader Parveen Amanullah and six party workers were arrested today for allegedly violating the poll code of conduct, police said.
Amanullah, who quit the Nitish Kumar government to join AAP recently, is tipped to contest from Patliputra Lok Sabha seat presently represented by Lalu Prasad's friend-turned-foe and JD(U) leader Ranjan Yadav.
They were staging a protest outside a power department office allegedly in violation of the poll code.
They were arrested from the dharna site and were released later.
Amanullah is the wife of senior IAS officer Afzal Amanullah currently posted in Delhi.
