The Bihar Entrepreneurship Association (BEA) will organise the Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit here on February 22-23 for Start-ups and young entrepreneurs, a top BEA official said Friday.
"This will be the sixth edition of Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit where 1200 participants are expected between February 22-23 at Gyan Bhawan in the state capital," BEA secretary general Abhishek Singh told PTI.
The summit will be hosted in collaboration with Asia Africa Development Council (ADCO), Singh said.
ADCO has been organising events in all major Indian cities including Mumbai and Delhi for relationship building between Asia and Africa.
ADCO is an international peace and development organisation committed to Asia and Africa prosperity and attainment of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Africa and Asia, he added.
"The idea behind the organising summit is to bring investors, industrialists and scientists on one platform for a thorough brainstorming session for effective development of business sector and opportunities for industry-setup in Bihar," the BEA secretary general said.
Promoting the existing conventional businesses across the state, the BEA for the first time has come up with a plan to reward 10 business persons from each of the 38 districts of Bihar. This will not end here with mere certification of the beneficiaries.
The plan, however, is to engage them on sector-specific social media groups thereby empowering them with up to date knowledge, he said.
This will not just help them expand their existing businesses in different territorial limits but will also guide them for better financial linkage with banks and investors, Singh said.
