Except Bhagalpur, which witnessed 0.9 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, Patna and Gaya did not receive any rainfall, it said.
The absence of rainfall in past 24 hours has led to increase in maximum temperature by few notches in the four major cities -- Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea.
The increased temperature coupled with high humidity level made the weather conditions uncomfortable for people.
Both Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded highest maximum temperature of the state at 36.4 degrees Celsius each, followed by 36.1 degrees Celsius in Patna and 34.5 degrees Celsius in Gaya, the weatherman said.
