Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in south Bihar, the MeT department said while emphasising that the South West monsoon has been active in Bihar during the past two days.
Patna recorded 0.2 mm while Gaya received 0.4 mm of rainfall, the weatherman said, adding that Bhagalpur recorded nil while Purnea registered 6.0 mm of rainfall today.
Patna and Purnea registered 31.2 mm and 38.4 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours, it said and added that Gaya recorded a trace and Bhagalpur received 0.8 mm rain.
Patna, the state capital which witnessed a cloudy weather for most part of the day, recorded a maximum temperature of 32.0 degree celsius while Bhagalpur and Purnea recorded a maximum temperature of 32.3 and 32.3 degree celsius respectively.
The highest maximum temperature among major cities of the state was recorded at Gaya at 33 degree celsius.
The maximum humidity level was recorded between 85 to 95 per cent in various major cities including Patna, Met office said.
