Fake currency notes of Rs 100 denomination with the face value of Rs two lakh, high-end printing machines, computers, good quality paper, cutting machines and other material were recovered from them, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Jitendra Rana said.
Rana said their printing base was at a place under Laheri police station in Nalanda where they used to scan and produce notes.
"They produced fake notes of lesser denominations as people are cautious while accepting Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. They targeted shops, village markets and petrol pumps in rural areas to circulate the counterfeits," he said.
