Bihar witnesses light to moderate rains

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places of Bihar while heavy rainfall took place in Kishanganj and Samastipur district since yesterday, a Met office bulletin today said.
As per the bulletin, Galgalia in Kishanganj district received 11 cm rainfall while Hasanpur in Samastipur district witnessed 7 cm rainfall.
Four major cities of the state - Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea - did not receive any rainfall today.
Patna and Gaya had received trace rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Purnea recorded the highest maximum temperature at 35 degree Celsius, followed by 34.8 deg C in Bhagalpur, 34.4 deg C in Patna and 33.4 deg C in Gaya, the bulletin said.
Morning humidity levels were recorded between 75 to 89 per cent in Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea while it hovered between 70 and 75 per cent in the evening.
Patna may witness generally cloudy sky with intermittent rains tomorrow and Gaya may have moderate rains. Bhagalpur and Purnea are expected to witness generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rains, the Met office said.
