Bill collector held for taking money

A woman bill collector attached to the city corporation here, was arrested by the officials of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption today while accepting money to show some official favour, police said.
Based on a complaint from one Muthukumaran that the bill collector Vasanthakumari, was demanding Rs 7,000 for effecting a name change in property transfer, the DVAC officials laid a trap and asked him to give money to her.
Vasanthakumari was caught red handed when she was accepting money from Muthukumaran and taken into custody, they said.
