Narnaul's minimum temperature dropped by four notches below normal while the minimum temperature at Hisar was recorded at 4.4 degrees Celsius, which was four notches below normal, the MeT Department report here said today.
Similarly, Karnal experienced a cold night at 5.2 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal.
The minimum temperature in Ambala and Bhiwani was recorded at 7.8 and 7.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
In Punjab, piercing cold swept Amritsar, which recorded a low of 3.5 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal while Ludhiana, too, experienced the chill at 4 degrees Celsius, down by three notches.
The joint capital Chandigarh also reeled under the cold with minimum temperature recorded at 6.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal.
