BJP, AAP working together to keep us out of power: Cong

Congress today alleged that AAP and BJP had arrived at an understanding to prevent it from returning to power in the national capital even as it launched a campaign against the two parties.
"Congress was poised to make a comeback on the strength of the all-round development carried out in Delhi during the party's 15-year rule, but the scared BJP, sensing such an eventuality, did not only come to an understanding with Arvind Kejriwal's private limited firm but also struck a deal with it," said AICC general secretary and in-charge of Delhi affairs, Shakeel Ahmed.
He was addressing a public meeting at a resettlement colony in Jahangirpuri of north Delhi on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister the late Rajiv Gandhi.

Congress also launched a 'Jan Jagran Abhiyaan' against BJP and AAP on the occasion. Chief Delhi Congress spokesperson Mukesh Sharma said that local party workers will organise around a dozen big meetings under the Jan Jagran Abhiyaan.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Arvinder Singh said, "BJP, after failing to form the government in Delhi, is trying to strike a secret deal with Kejriwal in the coming elections in a bid to come to power... Congress will fully expose the opportunism of both these parties."
Congress also alleged that BJP was trying to divide people on communal lines in Delhi and claimed that, "at the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, controversial issues are deliberately being raised to divert the attention of the people from the soaring prices of essential commodities".

"Congress will issue a charge-sheet on the President's Rule and the 49-day AAP government and will also prepare a post-mortem report of the BJP's bid to mislead the people through false statements," Sharma added.
