The party also attacked Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against the Prime Minister on "Swachh Bharat" and said Modi is only trying to accomplish Mahatma Gandhi's dreams of a Clean India by connecting people with it to make it a mass movement.
BJP also attacked Rahul for his remarks relating to Hindi saying he has no right to insult Hindi.
"Congress party is trying to use Nehru's birth anniversary to play their own politics. On this occasion where they had to take the pledge of uniting th esociety and spreading brotherhood, they for their political gains have done the work of dividing society. It is the Congress which is playing the politics of hatred and not BJP," BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
Hussain said Prime Minister Modi believes in taking everyone along and ensure harmony and progress of the nation.
He said Congress is unable to reconcile that it is not in power and since it is not used to being out of power it is playing the politics of hatred and has thus reacted out of "frustration and disappointment."
Quoting Rahul Gandhi that he would not like anything which Modi likes, the BJP leader charged he has come down to the extent of being anti-Hindi. "He has every right to promote a language but he has no right to insult a language," he said.
