BJP justifies, Congress condemns

Justifying Centre's decision to discontinue postal stamps issued in memory of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, BJP leader and union minister of state Pon Radhakrishnan today said there was "politics in bringing out stamps in their names".
Replying to a question on Congress criticising the decision as politically motivated, Radhakrishnan told reporters here he said" there was politics in brining out stamps in their names.
Meanwhile, addressing party workers at a demonstration to protest against the Centre's decision, TNCC Presidentr, E V K S Elangovan condemned the Centre and said that tomorrow they will remove the portrait of Gandhiji from the Currency notes and instead "put Godse's photographs, since a section wanted his statue to be erected."
Both Indira and Rajiv had sacrificed their lives for the nation and worked hard for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden and farmers, he said.
