BJP leader Raja detained

BJP national secretary H Raja and other party workers were detained near here today when they tried to organise a protest against VCK leader Thirumavalavan for his alleged remarks against some temples.
Police said they were detained as permission for staging the protest had not been granted.
Besides, prohibitory orders were also in force, they added.
