"I do not know in what context Natarajan said conspiracy was on to destabilise the state government. But the Centre wants good relationship with the Tamil Nadu government and is giving additional focus on that," Ganesan, a Rajya Sabha member, told reporters here.
Speaking at a Pongal festival related event in Thanjavur, Natarajan had last night accused "some sections" in the BJP of trying to split the AIADMK and get the party government in the state dismissed.
Ganesan, former president of BJP's Tamil Nadu unit, criticised "family politics" and said, "Whether it is Tamil Nadu or Uttar Pradesh.. People do not want family politics."
On AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran, whose birth anniversary was celebrated today, the BJP national executive member said MGR was a regional leader with a national outlook and attitude.
The BJP leader said those who organised Jallikattu violating the ban were not "terrorists or anti-national forces".
Expressing hope that the Supreme Court would give a good judgement on Jallikattu, Ganesan said the Centre would arrange for organising the traditional sport, held during Pongal festivities.
