Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna met today the family members of Gajanand Sharma, who is believed to be lodged in a Pakistan jail.
Khanna, the in-charge for party affairs in Rajasthan, accompanied by MP Ramcharan Bohra visited the family here and had a talk with his wife and sons.
The party's national vice-president told them he has written a letter to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, requesting her intervention in the release of Gajanand from the Pakistan jail.
Gajanand was missing for the last 36 years and it recently emerged that he may be lodged in a Pakistan jail after the local police received an inquiry for the confirmation of his nationality.
