Senior BJP MLA, from Ramgarh Assembly seat in Alwar district of Rajasthan, Gyan Dev Ahuja today resigned from seven committees including the chairmanship of committee of estimates 'A' of the state government.
Surprisingly, Ahuja's resignation from the posts comes a day ahead of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje scheduled visit to Alwar tomorrow.
"Elections are near and I want to spend more time in my Assembly area. So, I have resigned from all committees and boards," Ahuja told PTI.
When asked about his resignation ahead of Raje's visit, he said that he had hinted it much before the visit was scheduled.
