Inaugurating the eight-day long National Khadi and Gram Udyog (village industries) fair at Gopal Maidan here, Mahato said the attractive garments made by rural women is a testimony to the high skill levels.
Advocating the use of khadi in daily life, the BJP MP said that khadi should be made mandatory in schools and hospitals.
The fair will provide an appropriate market for rural artisans from various parts of the country, Sanjay Seth, chairman of Jharkhand State Khadi Gramodyog Board said.
