"Around 46 Members of Parliament from the state participated in the dharna in front of Vidhan Bhawan against the policies of Uttar Pradesh government and poor law and order situation," BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai said.
The dharna would continue till tomorrow after which further strategy would be decided, he said, adding BJP would protest against "anti-people policies" of the state government at every level.
Bajpai alleged that officers were not taking cognisance of the local problems being raised by the BJP MPs.
BJP have 71 MPs from the state of which 14 are either Cabinet Minister or Minister of State, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
