The BJP national security cell convenor appeared in the court yesterday following summons issued to him by the CJM.
Hussain had filed a case against Chandrasekhar for alleging at a Press meet in Guwahati last year that he (Hussain) was responsible for providing settlement of Bangladeshi nationals in Kaziranga National Park.
The BJP leader had also demanded the minister's arrest.
Hussain had also filed a case in the same court against a local news channel in Guwahati for it reporting Chandrasekhar's allegation.
