Sayeed had recently said that his government would not set up "Israeli-type" separate clusters in the Valley for the settlement of Kashmiri Pandits even though it was committed to bring the displaced community back.
"The Chief Minister has said that by providing separate township he does not want to create an Israel-like state. Is he not aware that 15 lakh Muslims are presently living happily in Israel?," BJP's Kashmir Displaced Unit President T N Bhat told reporters here.
Bhat expressed his gratitude both to the state and the central leadership for ensuring representation to displaced community by nominating Surinder Mohan Ambardar as MLC.
"We feel this in the step towards our long pending demand for political empowerment. The present political crisis in the Kashmir Valley has been created by the forces who stand opposite to the government's move of return of Kashmir Pandit's to the Valley," he said.
Newly-nominated member of BJP to Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Surinder Anibardar thanked the state unit of the party for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of the state including Kashmiri Pandits.
