Dubey defeated Congress nominee Rajeev Verma getting support of 44 councillors out of the total 64 in the House.
BJP councillor from Anand Vihar Mahendra Ahuja was elected unopposed after the Congress candidate Raj Kumari withdrew her nomination.
The one-year term of the incumbent Mayor Dr Annapurna Mishra had come to an end and fresh election was conducted today to elect the new mayor.
Three Standing Committee members were also elected after the positions fell vacant when a draw of lots ousted three members. Sanjay Surjan and Sanjay Kaushik of BJP and Varyam Kaur of Congress were the only ones in the race and were elected to the body.
