The BJP on Friday demanded a probe into alleged anti-CAA comments on a Facebook account created in the name of IAS officer Tina Dabi in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan.

The comments were posted last month on the Facebook account which the officer claimed was not hers but fake and that she has already lodged an FIR in this connection.

A delegation of BJP led by the party's district president Ladu Lal met Bhilwara district collector and SP and handed them a representation addressed to Home Minister Amit Shah demanding an impartial investigation in the matter.

SP, Bhilwara, Harendra Mahawar said the officer, who is posted as sub-divisional officer - Bhilwara, had herself lodged a case with regard to the creation of a fake Facebook account in her name on December 17 after the comments were posted on that account.

"The matter is under investigation," he said.

BJP district president Ladu Lal said the comments, posted on December 17, were "negative" regarding the CAA.

"After objections were raised, the officer lodged a case but even after one month there is no progress in the investigation. If the officer has not posted that, then whoever did this should be traced and arrested," he said.

"When a common person writes provocative posts, the police take prompt action but here the matter is related with an account in the name of an IAS officer but still there is no action," he said.

After registering the FIR, Dabi, who was the UPSC exam topper in 2015, posted on her Facebook profile about the fake profiles and pages running in her name.

"They are all fake and are putting misleading posts in my name," she wrote, while giving details of the fake pages and profiles and informing that she has lodged an FIR in the matter.
