"BJP should stop befooling people of India by claiming that it is committed to fulfill its slogans 'Ek Pradhan, Ek Nishan', abolishing Article 370 and implementing uniform civil code for all communities.
"No government can dare to implement such slogans, but the BJP wants to rebuild its deteriorating image after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's worst performance during last one year," Rashid said in a statement here.
Rashid said whosoever has tried to "distort history" has achieved nothing except "misleading himself".
He said BJP seems to be in a "hurry in closing all the routes of reconciliation" with Kashmiris.
"Even offering pre-1953 position will have no takers as on date. Talking about imposing of common civil code is another misadventure BJP leaders have been talking about, as nobody can neither thrust its opinion on other religions, nor lay down principles on how they should deal with their individual matters," the MLA said.
