BJP spokesperson and MP Prakash Javadekar, who headed the inquiry panel appointed by party president Rajnath Singh, said policy failure on the part of the Congress-led Central government has led to proliferation of home-grown terror in the country.
The team, which had BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman and MP Ananth Kumar Hegde as the other two members, suspects the hand of such a terror group behind the brutal killing of Ramesh. He was killed on the night of July 19 in Salem.
The party feels there is possibility of a terror angle in the murder and this needs to be probed.
"There is a larger conspiracy here. There is a method and a lot of similarities in all the attacks on nationalist leaders in Tamil Nadu," Javadekar said.
