During the first phase of the yatra, which will pass through four states: Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal covering a distance of 2,800 km before culminating in Kolkata on June 24, BJP also plans to connect with women who joined the party during its recently-held membership drive.
"The Government has taken several good decisions for women over the past one year. Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Naari Samman Yojana, Himmat App, increasing Nirbhaya fund, etc have been launched which will benefit women.
Rahatkar said that organisation, awareness and connecting with women will be three key issues on agenda of the party during the yatra.
"We will hold gatherings of women during the yatra. We will seek their views on issues relating to their dignity and development. We appeal to as many women as possible to participate in the yatra," Rahatkar said.
The party plans to undertake similar yatra in other parts of the country as well.
