Wooing voters in Delhi, Union Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah today said it is because of BJP's 'developmental' agenda that 'lotus' can be seen blossoming outside Dal lake in Kashmir.
"Lotus has always been seen blossoming in Dal lake but Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally today was an indicator that it is blossoming in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir," she said addressing a 'jan-sabha' in east Delhi's Patparganj area.
"It has been possible only because of party's vision and developmental agenda," she said, adding that even terror attacks in the area could not deter people from attending his rally in huge numbers.
Appealing people to vote for BJP when Delhi goes to polls, Heptullah said the Aam Aadmi Party cheated people by making them believe in its false promises.
"First they made people believe in false promises and then acted in the most irresponsible manner. If they were very much concerned about the 'aam aadmi' they should not have left in middle without fulfilling a single promise," she said.
Condemning the rape of a 27-year-old woman in Delhi by a cab driver, Heptullah said, "Such cases raise security concerns for women over and over again but police has actively nabbed the accused. The government has also banned the operations of the cab service provider.
