"The BJP would once again come to power in Gujarat, despite the ongoing false propaganda by the opposition parties," the minister of state for home told reporters here.
According to Ahir, "BJP would bag 130 of the total 182 seats in Gujarat".
Gujarat will vote in two phases -- on December 9 and 14 -- to elect a new 182-member Assembly. The counting of votes will take place on December 18.
The Minister was in the town where he launched a news channel.
"Many a times, there were insurgencies and stone pelting. But it has now been minimised and the impression that Muslims are behind such anti-national activities is not correct. They too are nationalists and often sacrifice their precious lives for the nation," he added.
