Noida and Delhi commuters suffered a lot and took alternate routes to reach their destination. Blocked was lifted around 5:30 pm.
BKU chief Rakesh Tikait said that they were protesting for the 64 per cent hike in compensation to Yamuna Expressway farmers as was being given by Noida and Greater Noida authorities.
The BKU rally, scheduled from Pari Chowk in Greater Noida to Jantar Mantar, was stopped at Delhi border. Farmers then held dharna along the road and blocked the traffic by tractors and trolleys.
